Content Summary
The AfDB Agriculture and SME Cloud deal has reached Post-Closure stage following successful deployment of Phase 1 across Kenya and Tanzania. The Azure-powered platform now serves over 120,000 smallholder farmers with AI-driven agricultural advisories, market pricing information, and digital financial services. Phase 1 Azure consumption is tracking 15% above forecast at $9.2M annualised.
Post-closure activities focus on Phase 2 expansion planning for Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia, impact measurement and case study development for the AfDB board, and local ISV ecosystem onboarding for platform extension development. The programme has become a flagship example of Microsoft's technology for social impact strategy in emerging markets.

Comments & Notes
Phase 1 results are exceptional. The WhatsApp integration for farmer advisories was the key adoption driver. Phase 2 proposal targets 300,000 additional farmers across three new countries.
Azure consumption trending above forecast is excellent news. The unit economics at this scale validate the emerging markets cloud strategy. Supportive of Phase 2 investment.
